Recap
Supporters also got their first look at new midfielder Remi Efunnuga, who impressed with a composed debut in black and white.
Rangers started brightly and created a string of early chances. Ty Webster saw his effort blocked after good work from Bebeto Gomes, before Bakkor forced a strong save from the visiting goalkeeper on nine minutes. Moments later, Darrhyl Mason headed home Tom Tonks’ inviting cross, only for the assistant referee’s offside flag to cut celebrations short.
Gomes continued to threaten down the right, teeing up Harvey Washington for a low effort straight at the keeper. Washington then went close again, meeting Mitch Clarke’s flicked header, however his effort went straight to the goalkeeper again. At the other end, Leon Phillips remained largely untested, confidently claiming a pair of high crossed balls into the box.

Mason had another opportunity just before the half hour mark, chesting down Washington’s long header forward but firing over and into the Shed End.
Half time: Stafford Rangers 0 – 0 Coleshill Town
Both sides made changes at the break, and Coleshill registered the first real chance of the second half with a looping volley over substitute goalkeeper Russell Saunders.
Rangers finally found the breakthrough their play deserved on 58 minutes. Wealth Da Silva combined neatly down the right before slipping the ball into Ash Fallon, whose low cross was cleverly dummied by Mason, allowing Jack Birch to arrive unmarked and calmly finish from six yards.

Birch later tested the keeper from distance, while Da Silva fired wide after latching onto a Mason flick. Coleshill responded with a header drifting off target and a free‑kick deflected behind by the home wall.
Stafford had the final chance of the afternoon when Da Silva worked his way into the box and clipped a cut‑back to Birch, who drove his effort just over. The hosts saw out the remaining minutes to secure a deserved 1–0 victory.
