Another warm afternoon set the scene for a frantic start, with Rangers striking twice inside the opening eight minutes.

The breakthrough came in the 5th minute through Scott Bakkor, who opened his account in Stafford colours. Receiving the ball on the left, he delivered a dipping ball into the box that caught out the Bedworth goalkeeper. A palm was all the keeper could manage, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Bakkor finding the net.

Just three minutes later, the lead was doubled thanks to a moment of individual brilliance from Kyle Sambor. With his back to goal in midfield, Sambor spun away from two Bedworth players, drove forward, and unleashed a thunderous 30 yard strike that rocketed past the goalkeeper, to the delight of the Shed End.

Bedworth responded well and grew into the game, reducing the deficit in the 19th minute. Good work down the right led to a near post cross, met by Charlie Gordon, who headed past Leon Phillips in goal to make it 2–1.

The second half saw both sides make multiple changes, with chances continuing to flow. Bebeto Gomes went close for Rangers with an effort that drifted wide, before Darrhyl Mason headed goalward from a chipped ball by Jack Birch, only to be denied by a comfortable save from the Bedworth keeper.

With twenty minutes remaining, Stafford restored their two goal cushion. The Bedworth goalkeeper handled the ball just outside the box, gifting Rangers a free kick in a dangerous position.

Wealth Da Silva stepped up and powered a right footed strike round the wall and past the keeper — his second goal of pre season.
